"Man never made any material as resilient
as the human spirit."
Dr. Kocay graduated with a Bachelor in Science in Zoology from Texas A&M in 1976 and from the University of Texas Medical Branch (Galveston) in 1979.
Dr. Dean Kocay has comprehensive experience performing general surgical procedures for many conditions. Whenever medically possible, Dr. Kocay performs minimally-invasive surgery, or laparoscopic surgery, which requires smaller incisions than traditional surgery. Laparoscopic surgery is safer to perform and generally reduces the length of hospital stays and recovery times. Dr. Kocay is also experienced with traditional (open) surgery. Above all, treatment is chosen to meet a patientís individual needs. Dr. Kocay offers a collaborative approach to patient care, working closely with colleagues in other surgical and medical specialties to find the best treatment approach for each patient.
